Last Sunday

On Sunday, Hubs went out early to his buddy's wedding. He was one of the groomsmen. I didn't follow as he'll be home early. Previously, the plan was to wait at Juru for the groom to come all the way from Ipoh. Then all the groomsmen will adjourn to SP to fetch the bride. After all the torturing from the bridesmaid, happily they will travel back to Ipoh and wait for dinner at night. But it didn't occur to Hubs that it was the day he had to cleanse his tummy with vegetarian food. Monday was the starting of Nine Emperor God Festival. Annually, he will be on vege for 9 days. So, he only tag along half of the journey on his buddy's wedding day.

Anyway, me being home alone had nothing better to do than to beautify myself. I already had facial a day before, so no more facial for me. I manicured my nails and painted them in pink and black. I didn't take picture of them because I have camera with me.....but not the SD card. Argh...I did it so nicely, like the french manicure style. Well, it doesn't look so good with black on the edge, compare to white. So I added something to the nails. Just a 3 tiny dots makes them a new design, and so much more nicer. Only thing is, my left hand was nicely done but not the right one. You guessed it right, I can't paint with my left hand. Even Kwoonz noticed my nails and exclaimed that I did manicure (from shop). I will try other style next time.

Update:

At last I get to take a pic of them before they worn off.

One day trip back to Ipoh

Poh pi ang kong (Pray to god), let me go to Ipoh with grandma they all. Don't leave me alone in the house.
Ain't he cute with this pose?
Early in the morn, we started our journey to Ipoh. We had breakfast at old kopitiam in Ipoh Garden South. Had my long awaited hakka mee. There is no good hakka mee in Penang. I had to travel all the way to Ipoh to have one.
It came with yong tau foo, pricing at RM0.50 per piece.
Right after breakfast, we walked down memory lane.
First, we went back to our old secondary school to get sis's SPM cert. It's been almost 2 years. Now only she want to take it.
Then we went to our local hairdresser. We had been patronising the shop for as long as we were in Ipoh. The charges were dirt cheap. Even my mum can't help but to go back and had her hair done. That was my mum on the right.
Dad and baby were too bored they agreed to be my model ;)
Last place for us to visit was my old home. The house beside was as beautiful as ever, and our old house was as ruined as it can be. Since we left, the owner couldn't sell it off for his qouted his price too high.
Dinner was supposed to be in Batu Kawan for seafood. However, upon reaching there, my 'oolong' sis forgot the way to that place. Sigh...we had to go back to Island for dinner at last. We settled for Chulia Street.
There was so much variety there. Curry mee and Wantan mee is a must for us. Besides, we also ordered something we haven't tried there, Chai Kuey. Definitely not recommended. It tasted blantly.

Barbie Doll Cake

A birthday cake this beautiful, I really don't have the heart to eat it. Most of the time, this kind of cake will be full of cream or icing. No real thing inside.
Surprisingly, it is not the case this time. The thing underneath that heavy fluffy dress was a delicious chocolate cake. I didn't get the name of the cake house but I must say it certainly did a great job.

Homemade Pizza

As the tummy growls, what is better than to have a pizza stuff under your nose?
Hm..yummy. This pizza of course, was not made by me. All thanks to Albert's mum. We were at his house, preparing the stuff for Kong's wedding this Saturday. It was so much fun watching the two musketeers singing and mimicking all the songs. Can't wait to see the real thing.

Mummy Homecook Meal

Guess what is this ugly thing....
It's 5 screaming fishes..hehe..Actually their heads were chopped off already but from this point of view, it looked as if their mouths were open from their eyes to their throats :p
Mum prepared this simple meal last weekend but it tasted so yummilicious. I feel so hang fook...

I heart Kiwi

I always love that inside of this small, oval-shaped fruit featuring brown fuzzy skin resides a brilliant, semi-translucent emerald green flesh speckled with a few concentrically arranged white veins and small black seeds. Ain't it magnificent that there's such a beautiful fruit on this earth?
I read up from a website about this fruit. It says
"Enjoying just a couple of kiwifruit each day may significantly lower your risk for blood clots and reduce the amount of fats (triglycerides) in your blood, therefore helping to protect cardiovascular health. "
While on the other website, it was written that
"This fruit is rich in ascorbic acid which works as an astringent to neutralize bacteria and tighten the skin's pores"
It also state the recipe of making a kiwi toner. Read up about it HERE.

Cute small kid

Just a lil intro to my nephew..

My lovely but super naughty nephew. As he was born premature, he has been tiny since then. Even now at 8 months old, he is still at 7kg plus only. He loves to smile and giggle (without sound). He can give strangers his gummy smile....as my sis put it.

Nowadays he loves to rest his big head on his elbow like this..

My Day: Wednesday

Yesterday was the only Wednesday that we get to watch movie with cheap price. Hubs totally forgot he did not have to conduct class at night till almost 6pm (normal class starts at 7.30pm).
So we made a quick decision to catch Don't Mess With The Zohan. We prayed hard that 9.20pm ticket is still available with good seats.
Once the car was parked, we hopped straight to the lift that took us straight to cinema level. We passed by the arcade and WOW! When did they parked so many new machines there? I did not whip out the camera straight away. Instead we brisk walked over to the counter only to see.....there's no long queue. That's a BIG surprise for a Wednesday. Everyone must have know we are going thus they made way for us :p Although there was still lots of empty seat, we were still very picky. We insisted to have the reserve row and it's only 4mins away. Since not many were in the line, we ended up queuing and re-queueing till it was 8.50pm sharp. Yeah for us! We got 4th row from behind and the exact middle seats.
Another 30mins to the movie and we had nothing to do. So what else? We went back to the machines and snapped a few shots. Hubs wanted to get one as he thought since it only require 2 token (RM1=1token). I had to point out to him each token cost RM4. RM8 for such a small figurine, it's not worth it.

I had to say there was so much laughter in the cinema it really release quite a lot of tension. However, I still prefer Money Still No Enough. Full of emotion and laughter.

A priceless session with him

As 2 o'clock getting nearer, my heartbeat become faster. It feels as if it will jump out of my mouth any minute from now. To be exact, out of my mouth when he steps into the office. Right now, I'm sitting at the corner I've been sitting since I got my freedom. The 'he' I mentioned was someone I look highly upon. In such a young age, he has achieved so much and is well versed in all area. The office I'm sitting in now is one of his magical touch. He brought this Academy straight from Singapore back to his hometown, with the purpose of giving others a better life. Without him, Hubs will not be able to make his passion, his job and I..will not be able to quit my job so fast (of course I have Hubs to thank!).

I finally gathered my courage and asked for a lil of his time. I know he was going to fly off to Sin again this Friday. If I do not act fast, I'll have to wait for a long time. Hubs told me I was lucky as throughout this week, he is very busy. I felt honored, he did not hesitate even a lil when I asked for his time. I was very blank on what I wanted to do next (now that I've quited). I just know I wanted to be involved in something creative. Photography? Photo editing? But how can I survive on that alone? For that, I'm getting advise from him, the man who is very successful in life. He is also one of the awardee of JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award 2008. To be able to seek advise from him is my greatest dream.

TAO

I had a fabulous time in TAO last Saturday night, the very night all the people....or shall I say most of Malaysian countdown to National Day. But today post is not about Merdeka.

It's all about TAO!!

After the long awaited days, finally the day arrived. We managed to reach the place sharp at 5.30pm. Upon ascending the stairs, we were greeted with this huge Buddha head.

Entrance to restaurant

Even before we were directed to our place, Clement has already proceed to the dessert bar and piled up a huge plate of fruits and vege. Lucky for me and Hubs, we managed to clear our bowel right before our journey. So we input and input and input till we cannot take it anymore. A check with our watch, it was only 6 plus. Meaning we consumed all those dishes in just half hour, like we haven't eaten for ages. After that, we slowed down a lil and Hubs made another clearing. Can you believe him?

Some of my favourite for the night

The Group

It will be a waste if a hearty dinner is ended with going home straight. So we went over to Sunway Carnival to catch a movie. The man at the counter told us the only seats available was at first row from the screen. Totally not for us. We begged him to reserve 5 seats for us when it's time to burn those reserved seats. So yeah! we got to see "Money still no enough" and it's 5th row from behind. Kudos to the guy at the counter!

Hubs read my blog..woohoo..

Haha....I was busy doing my stuff when he let out a chuckle. Out of curiosity, I turned to look at what he was doing...as usual I always peep at him when he's doing his work. I love the intense look he had, trying to make his brain explode. One look and I'm all blushed. He's reading my blog!! I used his laptop to browse my page last night and that leaves a trail for him. I wanted to delete his history but it will sure leave more question marks for him. I was hoping he will not type the letter "L" to get to other URL..hehe..talking bout Law of Attraction.
If you resist, it will persist.
Now, that the secret is out. In future, I might send some hint thru this..
